Overflowing carbs is almost certainly due to either the float levels being set incorrectly, or the rubberised coating on the fuel shut off valvebecoming worn. This is a Tourmax kit featuring of all of the components needed to overhaul a carburettor. Includes replacement float bowl gasket, fuel shut off valve, pilot jet adjuster screw, spring, washer and O ring. The pilot adjuster screw features a slightly different taper, but these kits represent massive savings on Kawasaki prices. One kit will be required per carburettor. Suitable for all models.

GPZ 500S Model information

This page is intended as a guide to help our customers differentiate between models of GPZ 500S

Invariably it is sufficient to identify the brake configuration eg twin disc front and the year of manufacture using these two factors is often sufficient to help you identify the model.

The A series 500S features a single disc front brake and drum brake rear, and was produced between 1987 & 1993.

The B series 500S was generally only for the European market, ie non UK and features twin front discs and a rear disc brake. It was produced between 1988 &1993.

The D series 500S was produced between 1994 & 1999 and features many improvements over the A and B series machines. This model features single disc front and rear.

The E series is another upgrade and it features twin front discs and single rear disc.
It was produced concurrently with the D series but features twin front discs.
